How to Join

Communication is a vital part of being a good swapper.  Please remember to let your partner know when you have sent your block and say Thank You when you have received their block.

Would you like to be part of our group?
Please read our Rules & Guidelines, and if you would like to be part of our swap group, provide the following details via email

  1. FULL NAME:
  5. SKILL LEVEL:  Beginner - Experienced Beginner – Intermediate - Advanced
  6. COLOUR/STYLE FABRIC CHOICE: remembering it's a Christmas theme .. so gold and silver can be included to give that festive flare ...
  7. BLOCK CHOICE (if you have a specific block choice, feel free to quote a URL):
  8. HOW will you share photos of blocks sent and/or received?  FACEBOOK or EMAIL
  9. HOW did you hear of the Christmas Quilting Block Swap Group?
  10. YES - I have read the Swap Group Rules, and agree to abide by them to the best of my ability.

Once we have received your details, and as soon as there is a vacancy, you will be able to take part in the next swap (usually no more than a 1-2 month wait).

If you are stuck for a choice of blocks and/or fabrics, here are some suggestions:
- any star block in traditional Christmas colours on cream
- any Christmas theme in traditional Christmas colours
- log cabin in Christmas themed fabric
- tumbling blocks in red and green on cream
Samples of Blocks are also listed in the Left Sidebar under "List of Blocks" - click on one of the block names to see a selection of blocks made.

There are several ways you can keep up with the happenings of the group:
If you would just like to watch and see what is happening :
Via our Group Blog Christmas Quilting Block Swap where you can ‘Follow’ and/or ‘Subscribe to Updates” via email; or
Via our public Facebook page where you can ‘Like’ our page.

These two pages will be updated regularly; however, partner allocations will be advised via email.

Once you have registered to participate in the swaps, an invite will be sent for you to join our private Facebook GROUP where you will be able to chat and share photos with other group members.

Both the Blog and Facebook Group have been created for the swap members and you are encouraged to share block photos and photos of things created from the swap blocks and to comment.  Or, if you would prefer, email photos to the Swap Co-Ordinator and they can be shared for you.

Your contact details will be kept in a Group List to enable Group Emails to be sent out and will be deleted when you leave.

I hope you enjoy being part of our Christmas Quilting Block Swap group.
