Another Surprize

I must take a moment to thank Ms. Diane McClure for the most wonderful package, all the way from England, that arrive over the weekend.  I will completely enjoy every piece of it.  I am slowly building up some very awesome quilting stuff thanks to all of you.  When I have recovered from life soon, I will be back to group. Until then thanks so much.

An Unexpected Package

I just wanted to take a few minutes and thank a very wonderful person.  Thank you to Melanie for the very awesome  package and what a pleasant surprise it was.  A log cabin block with Christmas fabrics, hand made tree  ornaments, 3 skeins of embroidery floss and a very cute, cute, cute door knob hanger.  A slow, but awesome start to rebuilding my quilting supplies.  Now lets see if I can post a picture on the new computer my wonder hubby bought for me since my was taken during a robbery.

Thanks so much and I will be back in the group as soon as life settles down for me.

Starry logs

I have been taking a break from the Christmas group for a few months as I have had so many block swap UFO's that I have wanted to complete. You may have seen my quilt lemon liquorice in the 12 inch block, and now I am sharing with you the flimsy for Starry logs.

As I lost all my data in my computer a few mo the back I can to tell you all of the lovely ladies that have contributed to this other than Leena, Helen and Sue, so if you spot your block here please let me know which one it is
I need to get some wadding and backing before this is complete, but I thought that I would still share it with you now.  I am back swapping again with you in August.

Our Christmas Angels

Hi everyone

Occasionally, some of our very valued Swappers are in need of some cheering up.

  • life can be a real pain and we have to deal with some curve balls being thrown our way;
  • Mother Nature can have a hissy fit and shake, flood, burn our homes, or simply blow them away;
  • health issues are sent our way to test our resilience and faith;
no matter what happens, it is nice to know our 'other family' in the Swapping/Blogging world can help ease our pain.

Over the past year or so, we have needed to call on Christmas Angels, who have very quietly gone about their "Angel Duties" and I sincerely hope their efforts were acknowledged by the various recipients.  However, I would like to acknowledge their efforts here on the blog.

To help with this acknowledgement, I have created a "Christmas Angels" page where I will be placing photos of the various items sent.  Now, I realise that some of you may be very happy to stay in the background, and that is OK too  .... just let me know ;-)

At this stage, I will be posting photos and identifying who has sent them - I will not identify who they have been sent to on this blog, as I don't wish to embarrass the recipients in any way ;-)  However, the recipients are more than welcome to contact me if they wish to be identified and to pass on any thanks ;-)
