Jen let me know my package arrived in PA!
This is what I sent her...
As she & I e-mailed about these, that mug-rugs are ''newer'' to us...
they are fun to make & as I mentioned on my blog looked up different "tutorials"
and ended up making these three!
Jen said she liked red so she received the 3rd one in the pic with the extra red sashings!
I enclosed a coffee & some some yummy tea bags to sample while she uses her lil-mug-rug!
Glad she liked it & hope she enjoys!
I also want to thank Cathy for all her time & effort to put this swap together & arrange all the Christmas in July partners!
I know it's lots to do & I appreciate it- it is a joy to be a swapper!
So Jen has received hers & I mine ....so we are completed!
Thanks girls & Blessings~
Here are some pics of the CIJ Mug Rugs/Table Mats I have made for my partners (yes, plural). I gave myself an extra partner to even up the numbers ;-) then I found I had inadvertently left someone off the list :-( ooops!
So here we go! I won't say who these are for so as not to ruin the surprise when they reach their destination.
While I was sewing, I used one of the hot chocolate packets that came with the mug rug from Diane
Thank you Diane, this was soo yummy! can't wait to try the others ;-) Diane and I must have been on the same wavelength, as when she posted photos of her mug rug on her blog, I was working on this ;-)
I am really pleased with how this turned out ;-) I love using my new Dresden Plate ruler.
A seek peek of the July block that is in route to NSW Australia for... Vicki K. I have e-mailed her a couple times and no reply however... I have sent it off as I am thinking that she is just busy! :) So...I will await hearing from her that it arrived! Hope she likes it! She had no certain request, so it was fun to play & try something new!
I have just finished the Candle Mat I made for my partner Jan S ...
Jan asked for octagonal or round - a star would be special ... in plenty of purple
This is what will go in the mail later today ...
Hope you like it Jan ... huge hugs ... Bobbie xxx
PS ... My candle mat from Jan arrived in todays mail ... the photo did not do it justice ... I love it .. the colours are so perfect and will fit in our new home perfectly .. thank you Jan ... you did a fantastic job ...
This is the block I made for Cathy C - she has now received it! I decided to
make a block that I hadn't tried before called 'Improv Chevrons'. I like it so
much that I'm going to make one for myself! Jeneta
Keep the photos coming! Don't forget, you can send your photos to Cathy, the Swap Co-Ordinator, and all the bloggy stuff will be taken care of for you!
Jan has provided a photo of her gorgeous Candle Mat on it's way to her partner, Bobbie.
My partner for this swap asked for a candle mat in yellow and green, with maybe burgundy - Christmassy colours, but not quite traditional red and green. This will make it useful for the whole year. It was a beautiful square block which emphasised the Rotunda design, and it is still OK as a round mat. Looking forward to my requested purple mat. This one goes in the mail today.
This is my second post today. I also took part in the Christmas in July mug rug swap and this is what I have made for Mary Chow in Canada. I got this design idea from one of the tutorials that Cathy provided as links. Great way to use up all of the Chrissy scraps.
