New tab at top

Hello lovely ladies!
I hope you have been enjoying Christmas in July as much as I have!  I can't believe that July is nearly over - keep an eye on your inbox, your August partner will be there soon.

You may have also noticed a new tab at the top of the blog - next to 'Home' there is now 'Look what we made!!!'.
This is a static page where I can post pictures and info about your work!

So once you have finished something using the blocks from the group, please email me at crafty.pug@hotmail.com with:

1. One or two photos of your creation
2. The name of your quilt if you have one
3. The completion date of the quilt
4. List the contributors of the quilt.

I have posted the first thing that I have made with blocks from this swap - unfortunately I didn't keep track of who made which block!  That is definitely something I am going to do from now on!

So head over, have a look, and then email me your lovely creations once they are finished

Much love, pugs and kisses

Log Cabin for Medora ...

I am just so loving this block ... so much so that I made myself one ... haha ...

Medora's will be on the way in the next mail out of town ... so for now she will have to be content with a little sneak peek ...

oh ..... and look who just turned up in my sewing room ... it is Kevin ... he is my little gnome .... He came to live at my place a while back now .. and every winter when it gets too wet out .. he tells me the cold is ok .. but he really really really hates the wet stuff that falls from the sky ... that added to the cooler nights .. well .... he just needs to keep his poor old bones warm ... so ... he lets himself in ... cheeky thing ... and this is his idea of helping me ... said he would get Medora's log cabin block ready for the sneak peek photo ... hmmmmm ... well i guess it worked ... thanks Kev ...

June block from Cathy to Vanessa

I received this lovely star block from Cathy (been a bit slow posting!)

Thanks Cathy - really happy with my star block

Showing off my mug rug

This is the first mug rug I have ever made, so not sure if its quite right, its a bit shorter than the dimensions but if I made it bigger I dont thing it would look right.

I decided to do a fussy cut with a (sort of) log cabin border with cheeky fat robins delivering Christmas post and finished off with a cheery red holly binding.  I like the way it looks and think it would even make a pretty wall hanging. I hope my partner like is, I am just going to do some goody shopping to pop in this parcel before I sent it on its merry way to the USA.

Pats log cabin

The lovely Pat from Oregon in the USA was my swap partner this month in the Christmas Swap.  Pat and I swapped quite some time ago in the regular swap so it was nice to catch up again.  Pat made me this cheerful Christmas log cabin, and was kind enough to pop in a little gift of a hand made scissor holder.

Thank you Pat, love them both, Hugs, Sue xx

Pat from Oregon is my July Christmas swap partner, and with a wintery weekend behind me I got a bit of sewing done.

Pat requested a Fence rail block in red and green.  I could not find any patterns for a fence rail, but found one for a post and rail - I am guessing its the same.  Pat, if not please let me know and I can try again.
