Christmas in July Mug Rug Swap!

Thought it might be fun to do a little swap on the side ;)

It is SOOO cold here in Adelaide, Australia at the moment that it makes me think of crackling fires, comfort food and of course steaming mugs of hot chocolate!
But I have nothing to put it on :) i need a mug rug! Anyone else agree?

So, the first ever Christmas in July Mug Rug Swap is the answer!

Here are the rules:

1. Let me know that you want to participate by Monday 4 July.
You don't have to be a regular Christmas Block swapper - anyone with a valid email address is welcome to join in! You need to be prepared to send internationally.  Either send me an email at crafty.pug@hotmail.com, or leave a comment on this post - PLEASE LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS TOO!

2. Make one Christmas themed mug rug to swap with a partner chosen at random by me.  Please no bigger than 7" by 13"

3. Send your Mug Rug package to your partner before Sunday 31 July

4. Have FUN!

If you don't know much about mug rugs - here are a few links to get your creativity into gear :) they are not meant to be directive in any way - please create away!

May Christmas Block for Pat

Pat (no blog) has advised her May block has arrived safely.

so here is the snippet I posted previously

Here is the full block.  Pat requested a railfence block from http://www.quilterscache.com/R/RailFenceBlock.html in reds and greens.

I am so glad Pat likes the fabrics I have chosen.  Pat, I hope I have chosen the right layout for the railfence - if not, please feel free to re-arrange to suit your other blocks, if you wish.

This is the block I received from Pat.

Look at all that wonderful golden goodness ;-)
